1) Chemical and physical properties of beef, pork, and chicken fat was reviewed and sourcing was recommended for a North American manufacturing company desiring to make fatty acid methyl esters refine for a kerosene diesel fuel replacement. Glycerin byproduct, kosher grade, was the most valuable byproduct.

2) North American consulting firm requested review of emerging field-portable technologies capable of measuring ppm levels of metals in biofuel feedstocks, including animal and vegetable oils.

3) North American client desired information on enzymatic refining of spent fryer oil.
